USA Status: STANAG 4439 complianceIn the United States, IM have been incorporated into the law since 2001.To date, most US munitions are in compliance with the requirements of NATO STANAG 4439 after incorporating derogation approved by JROC. The US Navy concentrates on the development and control of new techniques enabling the vulnerability of munitions to be reduced. The US Army is demonstrating its determination to render its entire munitions stockpile insensitive. The US Air Force is keen to develop less sensitive but more effective explosive compounds. |
