Such concentrations of means make ideal targets and, in particular, non-IM stockpiles represent a substantial risk for personnel, nearby combat platforms and property. IM which are developed and manufactured under common requirements will increase confidence in each partner’s munitions and are a necessity for interoperability IM are currently available and some are in service: regular tests and analyses demonstrate their capabilities under the most severe conditions.  |
